How to create a habit- More on habit

After the great success of creating the habit of daily exercise towards a fit and healthy body, I increased my daily yoga session duration.

From 3 minutes to 10 minutes for Kapalbhati and 10 minutes of Anulom Vilom for the next 10 days. That was a great experience as I started to feel good after this yoga and kriya.

I increased my Yoga time to 15 minutes for Kapalbhati and 15 minutes for Anulom Vilom and still I was not tired. I wanted to do more and more of it.

Now after 60 days my routine is like this

  • 40 Pushups
  • 60-sec plank
  • 30 Jackknife Situps

  • 15 Min Kapalbhati
  • 15 Min Anulom Vilom
  • 10 Min Shavasana

Myself always wanted to do something for my eyes. I never did anything for the eyes. So I added the 5 min Shirshasana. It started for 2 min and went to 5 min based on my comforts.

I maintained it for the next 1 month and it is more than 75+ days and still I am doing it.

Time to change something

The time comes for the next interesting thing. I always want to get rid of my extra fat. I searched on google and youtube it is Burpees. I started with 15 burpees + Yoga Set.

My goal is to do something every morning and the process of mine is very simple. Start with fewer sets of exercises. Even 10 rep is enough for the first 10 days.

Gradually increases the repetition. I increased the count of Burpees to 50 nowadays.

Today morning I did the following,

  • 50 Burpees
  • 1 Min Plank
  • 30 Jackknife Situps

  • 15 Min Kapalbhati
  • 15 Min Anulom Vilom
  • 5 Min Shirsasana
  • 10 Min shavasan

If your body doesn’t behave well then rest for one day only. Then start again the next day. Consider this as your achievement every morning if you do some kind of exercise or set of yoga.

The first win in the morning is definitely the booster for the day. Don’t follow anything else. Just follow one thing- Start and Persevere.

You can’t do the same thing every day it means you are pushing your limits. So don’t push it until your mind and body tell you.

One thing every day for a very small amount of time like 3 min, 5 min, etc.. but do it daily on a fixed time.

Do it at a fixed time so it will become your habit. I prefer to do it in the morning.
