A social media platform Instagram has instigated its new feature called the ‘Limits.’ It will elude abusive comments and messages from the people who are not in your following. This may also apply to the news followers.

Whether the user is a public figure or a normal user, everyone can use the news feature from Instagram. This only applies to the users who have enables the feature in their digital devices.

England’s defeat at the Euro cup 2020 was one such reason to avail the ‘Limit’ feature. Some of the black players faced abusive comments and messages on Instagram.

LIMITS

A social media platform Instagram has instigated its new feature called the ‘Limits.’ It will elude abusive comments and messages from the people who are not in your following. This may also apply to the news followers. Considering it as a major concern, Instagram has added this new feature.

It will help you keep your conversation limited to your selected audience. Users on Instagram have abused a lot of Public figures. The torrent of racist abuse against England’s players at Euro 2020 is the biggest example.

From Public Figures to normal users, everyone can use this new feature. This means that you do not have to be a famous person or a public figure. Allow your Instagram to go to your profile page, click on the privacy setting and apply the ‘Limit’ option. You can keep enabled the ‘Limit’ attribute until you want to do so.

Instagram has a feature named ‘restrict’. You can delete spam comments from there. Yet, ‘Limits’ will give you an easy way to get rid of abusive comments.

So, this new feature will conflict with the abusive comments on Instagram.

Mia Garlick, head of policy for Facebook has told in a statement, “We are committed to continuing this work with experts, sports leagues, governments and safety partners to root out hate both online and offline, but we hope these new features will better protect everyone in our community from seeing abusive content in the first place.”

We cannot sure that it will remove all the abusive comments and messages. Individuals may still suffer some of those comments. You have to note that the ‘Limits’ have not reached all the users. This news feature from Instagram is going to be a secure and helpful attribute for users. It will let users elude abusive comments.
